Odyssey’s funding comes from federal and state grants, including the Metro Regional Board for Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases and the West Central Regional Board for Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases. United Way dollars, private foundations, corporations, and individuals also support our programs.

Odyssey's programs depend on outside sources to operate. Odyssey requests a fee for services rendered and accepts insurance when available, but client fees amount to less than 3% of our annual operating budget. 

In response to the needs of the community, all of Odyssey’s programs are experiencing growth and expansion. As a result, there is an increased reliance on donations from the private sector. For the past several years, the Board of Directors has been very committed toward successful implementation of all aspects of fundraising. An annual fund and special event is conducted each year for program support. Odyssey’s most recent annual event, Rhythm & Blooms, raised an unprecedented $50,000 for children and families in need.

Corporate and foundation support for Odyssey’s programs continues to be strong and vibrant. United Way funding, strong since the early 1980’s, is expected to continue. Government grants continue to be applied for and secured on a regular basis as a mainstay of Odyssey’s overall budget.
