Akua Davis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker,(LCSW) and Master Addiction Counselor(MAC) who obtained her Master’s of Social Service Administration (MSW) Specialist: Children, Youth and Families (School Social Worker) degree from Case Western Reserve University, Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. She completed post graduate work with the Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Family Children Services in Los Angeles California and The State of Georgia. She is also a Certified School Social Worker by Georgia Professional Standards Commission. Akua is trained in Trauma Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Behavioral Tech(M. Linehan) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)(Dr. Shapiro) and Prolonged Exposure. Akua has over 20 years of experience and expertise as a social service consultant. She specializes in working with at risk youth, and has a passion for working with individuals that are in crisis and suffer from mental health disorders and trauma. Her expertise includes: Trauma Informed Care, Suicide Prevention, and Clinical Supervision.  Akua lives by the creed of “Maximizing Hope” in the lives of the clients she serves.
