Adult Substance Abuse Coordinator

Cassandra is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS). She holds a Master’s Degree in Family Therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hartford University. She works with individuals, couples, families and groups to address presenting challenges such as: relational problems, trauma, cultural and women’s issues, anxiety, substance abuse, grief and anger management difficulties. Cassandra collaboratively works with adult and adolescent clients to achieve their goals, providing a supportive environment where they can identify and explore healthier ways of addressing difficult emotions  (i.e. anger, hurt, shame, and resentment) and challenge cognitive distortions (faulty thinking) to promote desirable behavioral changes. She strives to help clients learn and implement positive communication skills in their everyday lives to enhance the quality of their relationships.


Cassandra utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach incorporating therapies such as: Systemic Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Clients appreciate her genuineness, patience and practical approach to therapy. She also specializes in Anger Management Training and is certified to work with individuals who are court ordered.
