Adult Services Coordinator

Dana earned a degree in psychology from Kennesaw State University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a specialization in Health/Mental Health from Clark Atlanta University.  She facilitates assessments, individual and group therapy services in inpatient, outpatient and community-based settings to address issues creating barriers to a healthy quality of life. In addition to the diverse clinical settings, Dana works with individuals with varied backgrounds and experiences to address trauma, substance use, issues related to family of origin, adjustment, depression, anxiety, grief and loss. She utilizes a number of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness principles, as well as psychoeducation to assist individuals in gaining insight to unhealthy behaviors and establishing new, healthy coping strategies. Clients relay feeling a sense of genuine, non-judgmental regard with Dana’s ability to easily engage with them and develop a therapeutic partnership wherein their unique strengths are identified and clients are encouraged to take the lead on their own paths to wellness.
