Ellyce Payne, LAPC
School Based Coordinator
Ellyce is the School Based Program Coordinator and has been with Odyssey Family Counseling Center since 2016. Her main role is to build and maintain partnerships with local schools to provide quality mental health services to students and their families. Ellyce provides support for the many clinicians at Odyssey, working in schools across South Fulton county. She has worked with the school system for several years, including two years as a full time mental health clinician at College Park Elementary School. Her experience in school based mental health services allows her to conduct training’s and psycho-education for school staff and other community providers.
Ellyce earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. She is a licensed associate professional counselor and is currently working towards her registration as a play therapist. She is passionate about her work in helping children, adolescents, and their families find growth and healing through a collaborative counseling process. Her experience and training in Play Therapy and childhood development allows her to connect with children through their specific methods of communication and build a relationship with both parents and children to create change.
