Odyssey believes in the importance of family. The first step in creating strong, solid families is building a healthy marriage based on a foundation of friendship and commitment. Evidence suggests that participation in premarital counseling results in an increased level of marital success and satisfaction. Those who participate in premarital counseling are more likely to find themselves in a meaningful marriage.

Odyssey’s marriage preparation sessions are based on marital satisfaction research, and will help you prepare for and explore your readiness for marriage. The sessions are designed to be fun and informative while providing essential skills to enhance your marriage before you say, “I do.” Odyssey utilizes group discussions, brief assignments, video and bibliotherapy, and interactive activities to enrich your relationship and help you prepare for marriage.

Before
You Say “I Do”
can be completed in a group setting at our Hapeville office,
or individually at any of our six locations….Hapeville, College Park, McDonough, Women’s Center, Decatur, and Roswell. Couples will receive certificates of completion at the end of six sessions.
Sessions are held on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Please call (404) 669-3462 to sign up or for additional information.

**Meets the state of Georgia’s qualifications for reducing marriage license fees.**

Fees: 6 Group couple’s sessions at Hapeville: $30 per session
|
|
|
|
($150 for all six sessions if entire fee paid in advance)
|
|
|
|
6 Individual couple’s sessions: $65 per session
|
|
|
|
All marriage preparation sessions facilitated by Master’s level therapists. For further exploration and preparation, ongoing couple’s counseling is available at Odyssey.
