Odyssey's Substance Abuse Prevention Program is a free 8-11 week program conducted in a small group setting for an hour each week. The program, targets at-risk adolescents ages 10-17, who have experienced either involvement with the juvenile justice system, a parent who is abusing drugs, school failure, group home placement, experimenting with
drugs and alchol use, mental health problems, economic disadvantages, family conflict, physical, sexual or psychological abuse.
Odyssey utilizes the research based Project Success and Project Alert curriculum. Activities are chosen to meet the age and issues of the group and include the following:

Prevention groups are organized and conducted in the community at a variety of locations including schools, group homes, juvenile courts and youth centers. Groups are currently available in Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Fayette, Fulton, Rockdale and Spalding Counties. |
