Sandi received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from
Presbyterian College and a Master in Rehabilitation from the
University of Florida. For over 30 years she has worked in
the field of addiction and mental health treatment. She was
a member of a task force that created the first
credentialing requirements for addiction counselors in
Florida. She remains credentialed as an addiction
professional in Florida and also holds an international
credential in addiction counseling. She directed the efforts
of a community addiction program in obtaining JCAHO
accreditation, one of the first community programs to obtain
such a credential in the mid 70’s. She has developed,
managed, supervised and provided direct care in outpatient
and inpatient facilities, day treatment and partial
hospitalization programs, residential and supportive housing
programs for both adults and adolescents. Before coming to
Odyssey, she was the Director of the Behavioral Health
program and the Total Quality Management Coordinator of a
300 bed general medical hospital. |

Sandi was born and raised in the Atlanta area and after
spending 32 years working in Florida, returned to the
Atlanta area to help care for aging parents. She began
working at Odyssey in 2001 as the Program Coordinator of the
women’s day treatment program. She became the Assistant
Director in April 2003. In addition to the addiction
professional credentials, she holds licenses as a mental
health counselor (LMHC) in Florida and a professional
counselor (LPC) in Georgia. |
